One of the finest and oldest cocktails, this is truly a classic cocktail, and certainly one that our bartenders most enjoy recreating. The secret? Manhattan’s taste better with rye whiskey.
Here is the recipe:
- 2 ounces rye whiskey (we like to use Templeton for our Manhattans)
- 1/2 ounce sweet vermouth
- 2-3 dashes Angostura bitters
- Cherry for garnish
- Pour the ingredients into a mixing glass with ice cubes.
- Stir well.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with the cherry.
